Summary
In today’s business environment, competition is tougher than ever and organisations are demanding more from their people to gain a commercial edge.
ALONGSIDE supports leaders and their teams, tackling their most complex and critical challenges. Working from strategy through to delivery, we offer solutions that will impact the organisation, teams and individuals.
WORKING WITH ORGANISATIONS
We believe that organisations will only achieve their true potential in terms of business results when they are able to harness the talents of their people by implementing a holistic approach that brings together the performance of teams and individuals.
At ALONGSIDE we support organisations in three key areas:
Strategic Business Planning
Performance Management
Talent Management
WORKING WITH TEAMS
The environment and culture that people operate in locally has a major impact on business results.
The diverse personalities, strengths and styles can be both an asset but also an obstacle if not managed effectively. Harnessing the skills and dynamics of the team enables all members to perform at a higher level and become confident in holding colleagues to account.
At ALONGSIDE we support teams with:
Senior Team Development

WORKING WITH INDIVIDUALS
ALONGSIDE‘s mission is to ignite passion, realise potential and release performance. We are committed to ensuring that every person we work with will be more self-aware and will take personal responsibility for transferring their learning back into the workplace.
We develop individuals through skills development programmes, one-to-one coaching and various personality profiling tools. All of these elements can be used separately or can be integrated to develop a customised solution.

One to One Coaching, Strengths Based Leadership, Senior Team Development, Talent Management
One to One Coaching
At ALONGSIDE we have a passion for coaching. Our coaching focus is always on improving performance – for the individual, team and organisation.
We believe that coaches should be inspiring and energising, supporting people in understanding and maximising their strengths.
We take time to understand personal and organisational objectives and then use our extensive coaching experience to support people in achieving their goals. We have a strong focus on coaching people to see new possibilities, realising their potential and supporting them in developing and maintaining a positive approach, whilst at the same time encouraging them to measure and recognise the progress they have made towards their goals.
There are many benefits to be gained from engaging an external coach. As well as bringing a fresh perspective to your business, we provide a confidential forum for discussion and a sounding board for ideas that may not readily be available within the organisation. Our focus is always on improving performance – for the individual, team and the organisation.
Benefits of One to One Coaching
Preparation for role or career changes, taking the step to join a board
Managing stress, change, conflict or crisis in a workplace environment
Enhancing personal impact and performance
Strengths Based Leadership
Based on the Clifton Strengths Finder assessment, we support organisations in transforming the way in which they get the very best out of their people – helping them to realise their potential by understanding their strengths and maximising them to release performance.
Many organisations spend the majority of their training and development budget on ‘skills deficits’ identified through Training Needs Analysis.
We help organisations to understand that maximising the strengths of their people (whilst still managing their weaknesses) is a more effective way of getting the best out of them.
Gallup’s Leadership Research uncovered:
The most effective leaders continuously invest in strengths. They found that people who know their talents and have the opportunity to use them at work are six times as likely to be engaged in their jobs.
People who use their strengths every day have 7.8% greater productivity.
While the best leaders are not well-rounded, the best teams are. Gallup’s research found that top-performing teams have strengths in four distinct domains of leadership strength: Executing, Influencing, Relationship Building, and Strategic Thinking.
What does this involve?
We create a team profile of top strengths so that you can see at a glance what the dominant strengths are for each person in the team. This can be very useful when forming project teams, creating ‘buddy’ or ‘mentoring’ relationships and of course when coaching your team members during performance reviews and one to ones.
Understanding the individual and collective strengths of your team and maximising these strengths will help you to ensure that you have the right people in the right roles spending more of their time doing the tasks that they enjoy and being more productive.
Leading from a strengths-based perspective allows you to delegate and coach more effectively as you will have a better understanding of what makes people tick and how to maximise their potential by finding ways to do more of the things they are good at.
That doesn’t mean that you won’t be pushing them out of their comfort zone – of course we have to manage weaknesses (lesser strengths) as people do need to demonstrate a good all-round performance.
Understanding how focusing on dominant strengths and talents can help manage weaknesses can generate a spirit of motivation and positivity within your team as people start to understand the ethos of strengths and become more self-aware and in turn more self-directed.
