Welcome! I am an experienced Counsellor. I work in practive practice with individuals and couples. from a consulting room inside my home. I began my training in 2002 and qualified as a person-centred counsellor in 2005. I have worked in a variety of settings including:- Prison work, ceder house counselling centre, GP surgery, school based counselling . MEMBER ORGANISATIONS MBACP. I am currently working within the NHS as a professional Counsellor and in private practice. Within this role, I manage a case load of clients referred by the GP. I value working with clients from a variety of settings and multi-cultural backgrounds. I have also worked within a Hospice, and this has provided me with valuable understanding of caring for both the physical and emotional needs of patients and their families. I have also undertaken a number of voluntary activities within the community and helped to set up support groups for women with breast cancer and families of children diagnosed with leukaemia. Previous training courses have also provided me with a variety of important knowledge which I incorporate in my professional clinical management. I also have clinical experience of working in a school based setting counselling primary school children who are experiencing difficulties, and working along side parents and liaising with CAMS .
