I qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1980 and during the next 15 years was a partner in charge of 15 estate agents offices in Greater Manchester.
I decided on a career change in 1994 to be able to offer mortgage and protection advice and spent the next 10 years working for three major insurance companies. In 2004 I set up my own financial services practice and in 2008 this became Maine Financial LLP. There are four active partners in the business.
My expertise has developed over the years and my knowledge of the mortgage market both residential and buy to let together with personal and corporate protection advice has allowed me to grow the practice.
