Cheshire House Book-keeping Services, based in Preston, Lancashire has been trading since 2003. Our company does all aspects of accounts and work up to trail balance. We are comprehensive with the market-leading accounts software Sage 50 Accounts. We are based in Preston but work with businesses North to South both on site and remotely. We don't charge for the consultation process and we are happy to meet with business owners for a no obligation discussion on their accountancy or training requirements. Whilst we don't get involved with taxation we do work along side a number of reputable Chartered Accountants who would be proactive with this side of your business if this service was required. We charge by the hour and our historical data has shown, to run the whole accounts from input to trial balance, every £1m turnover generally requires 5.75 hrs of bookkeeping per week or 0.75% of the annual turnover. If businesses accounts are taking longer than this we would carry out an assessment of the businesses accounting systems and methods currently in place. We would present a portfolio of recommendations which could improve the effieciency and cost of the accounting systems for the Directors perusal.

    New customer service manager for a team of 30 input operators with a leading mail order company. General duties included team management, negotiation with senior managers to identify training needs, budget management, variance analysis and project management. I was responsible for monitoring work flow and sourcing external support during peak periods to ensure guided lead times where fulfilled. Taking the lead of senior management as required. Whilst working with the company I attended college to complete AAT Level 2,3 and 4. I Left the company in 2003 to launch Cheshire House Bookkeeping Services and never looked back.

Virgin Active. I use to be a member of the AAT. I cancelled the membership about 5 years ago only because the information they use to provide was available free via the internet. Always looking for ways to cut the costs.

Interests and Hobbies

I love walking, especially the Lake District. I am crazy about horses, I always have been and always will be. Reading is a hobby of mine but only when I am laid out on a sun lounger. I have always been an active member of the local gym. I don't watch a great deal of TV, only the news as it helps me go to sleep! I used to like cooking but when you have a family it becomes a chore. Last but not least, I am partial to a glass of red wine.
