I am a qualified Bookkeeper having level 1 basic bookkeeping, level 2 sage computerised bookkeeping and Level 3 Diploma in Payroll. With over a decade of experience in bookkeeping, and accountancy, and a great knowledge of Sage, Iris Kashflow, Xero accounting packages and Payroll Management, I am the financial arm of the Edvance Consulting.We are very proud that after only 2 months trading we were shortlisted in 2 categories for the BIBA awards. I am also studying for my BA in Business & Finance Management at UCLAN where I have just passed my first year.     This was my first bookkeeping role after achieving my ICB qualifications in 2007. Upon expanding the company took on a Financial Controller who I worked closely with on a day to day basis. My main job roles were:

       Processing around 300 purchase ledger invoices a month onto Sage Line 50

    •   Processing around 250 customer invoices a month onto Sage Line 50

    •   Inputting sales receipts and purchase payments through Sage Line 50

    •   Reconciliation of the bank accounts on a daily/weekly/monthly basis

    •   Entering wage details into the system including tax payments etc.

    •   Weekly sales reporting onto a sage spread sheet of sales made on a weekly basis

          •   Entering petty cash receipts, payments through banking in Sage Line 50

          I worked in the call centre when new claims to JSA, Incapacity Benefit and Income Support started to be taken and the applications filled out over the telephone. This was my main role but I also got involved in:

          Mentoring new staff members

          Acting as deputy team leader

          Executing a number of different Jobcentre initiatives, including helping vulnerable customers to claim benefits whilst liaising with Welfare Rights and the team leader. 

    Implementing benefit claims management including telephone communication with claimants, data inputting, completion of all relevant paperwork and appointment scheduling.

     Attending conferences with managers from the district area for brainstorming sessions to develop new ideas in order to improve customer service and the claim process.

     On occasion I performed computerized job searches as per telephone requests from job seekers.
