A Newfield Certified Coach (NCC), Certified Trainer of NLP and FCIPD-qualified specialist with 25 years' experience of enabling individuals, teams and organisations to do more of what they are capable of doing, and to be more of who they are capable of being. I offer ontological-based coaching to individual leaders and managers; team facilitation; and short leadership development programmes. Experienced across all sectors my approach is highly pragmatic. Expertise


My main area of expertise is Ontological Coaching which is a proven, powerful methodology for personal change, leadership development and business improvement. Ontological Coaching focuses on our Way of Being since this is where leadership comes from. Our Way of Being is a dynamic interrelationship between language, emotions and body, shaping how we observe the world. To bring about fundamental lasting changes, shifts need to occur in all these areas so that we are able to be congruent in our language (including listening), emotions and how we configure and use our bodies, allowing us to become expanded observers and take more effective action. I offer in-person coaching in and around Manchester; nationally and internationally via Skpe.

I have four strands of coaching: Take your leadership to the next level (for current leaders interested in leading-edge approaches); From expert to leader (for those who are experienced specialists moving into leadership or management); Tackling a specific challenge; and Beyond the practise of leadership into the practise of a meaningful life. These are offered to help clarify what you might be seeking but basically we can start anywhere as I will attune to your specific aims.

I also train short leadership development programmes which can be attended as open programmes or delivered in-house. These programmes are recognised by the ILM (the Institute of Leadership and Management) and include:

    Combined role as Head of Human Resources and Visitor Experience. Responsible for 45 core staff and up to 70 staff during temporary exhibition times. Member of the Museum's Leadership team together with Director and four colleagues. Responsible for HR strategy and organisational change. I believe in treating your employees the way you would like them to treat your customers so this role gave me the scope to put combined HR and customer strategies in place. During this time we became the first museum in the UK to win a World Class Service Award for Customer Service.
