
Summary
Galloway's Society for the Blind is a local charity based in North Lancashire and supports more than 6,000 blind and visually impaired people. It is our aim to bring quality of life, indpendance and to help minimise the effects of sightloss, by offering a range of services from social groups, adult learning, outdoor pursuits, talking news/books, holidays and a free will making service. We are a self funding organisation and rely on staff volunteers and service users to help us succeed.
Assessing and offering support to blind and visually impaired people and helping with low vision aids from our resource room. Developing the independant living skills of our service users and providing them with adult learning and confidance building groups. Keeping them up-to-date with latest technology and software aimed at visually impaired users.
