You may already have seen in the press recently that Collective Legal Solutions has been acquired by the Co-op. The fact that such a large organisation have not only looked at our business but carried out due diligence and bought the business is testament to the way the business has been developed in recent years so that it is one of the largest business of its kind in the UK, providing an excellent service to its clients. Collective Legal Solutions will continue to trade as now but will be a member of the Co-operative group. There will be two changes. The first is that our probate business will cease at the end of March and in future probate will be handled by the Co-op probate team.
The current benefits of the service include:
- A comprehensive and complete Probate service with a dedicated case handler (covering all legal, final year tax returns and administration)
- Regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA)
- A fixed fee service supported by a consumer Price Promise to match any like-for-like written quotation
- Renunciation at the request of family members
The second change is that we will now be able to provide prepaid funeral plans provided by Co-operative Funeralcare. They are the UK’s leading funeral director arranging around 100,000 funerals each year, that’s almost 1 in 5 of all UK funerals.
