Enthusiastic, driven and personable with a wealth of knowledge from over 20 years in various finance functions.
From humble beginnings as an apprentice accounts assistant, through every possible role within an accounts department to accountant and now a passionate FD, my career to date has provided a strong foundation.
My most recent projects are as a 2 day per month FD to streamline the accounting function and work side by side with the owners on a strategic level to grow the businesses. This includes identifying strengths and weaknesses, and acting upon them, plus also undertaking a cost savings exercise to trim unnecessary outgoings. I firmly believe that you cannot have a strong business without a strong accounts department to back this up. This breeds confidence the business is running from a firm footing.
My current client base of circa 30 individual businesses, in varying industries, gives me not only a lot of exposure to various situations but also the opportunity to work alongside many different people and departments. My biggest strength is a natural ability to get the best out of people and this gets results across all businesses.
I provide as much or little assistance as is needed and can just perform ad-hoc tasks such as a weekly cashflow forecast with analysis or dealing with banks/financing facilities.
