When people set themselves objectives for their careers or indeed for their futures in general you often hear them setting themselves up for failure.
You ask, "When do you expect to see it happen?"
Often the reply that comes back is something like, "Around next June I think: time will tell."
My thought is, yes, time will tell, but a period converting the objective into a specific well defined goal or target will tell more.
If you follow this with some detailed planning - how do I make it happen - that will tell even more!
But it is continuous concerted action that will tell the most - whilst still keeping the objective top of mind!"
