Client, with a look that said, are you stupid, I just said that: “Yes, as I said, fine thanks.”
Me, as we sat down in my office for our chat about his career: “Have you started your campaign to find a new career opportunity? Have you started looking for a new job yet?
Client, enthusiastically: “Yes, I’ve applied for 14 jobs so far.”
Me, seeking confirmation: “Oh that’s excellent. So you have a written career objective and you know exactly what it is you’re really aiming for!”
