Giving has a way of turning the attention off of ourselves, thereby giving us a break from all that ails us. Additionally, according to this article in Psychology Today, Chemicals Released
, all three of the main chemicals we need in order to live happy, fulfilled lives (dopamine, serotonin, oxytosin), are released when we give to others. So today, in order to feel better yourself, do something kind for someone else. And, as it's International Women's Day, why not take the time today to find a local charity to give to in order to help girls stay in school by putting an end to Period Poverty.
