There are two recognised qualifications available for workplace first aiders: First aid at work – the most comprehensive workplace first aid course, suitable for all workplaces. This qualification is available via two courses: •First aid at work: a three-day course •First aid at work requalification: a two-day course for those whose First aid at work certificate is due to expire. Emergency first aid at work – a one-day course for workplaces where a risk assessment indicates that emergency first aid knowledge is sufficient. Which training is right for your workplace first aiders? 1: Determine the minimum recommended cover to meet your statutory first aid requirements. 2: Consider all the hazards and risks that are specific to your workplace. Three important factors to consider are: •Work related risks (dangerous equipment, dangerous substances, processes, etc.) •Existing employee health conditions (eg. asthma, diabetes, heart conditions, allergies, etc.) •Volume Number of visitors (non-employees) to the workplace. if you have a group of people that need training, we can carry out 1st aid training courses on your premises.
